The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your truck payment, insurance, fuel price, MPG and the rest are typed into the page and worked out on your own device. Those raw figures are never sent anywhere, and I never see them.
One thing that is sent, so you know about it. To
find out whether the site is any use to anyone, the page records which step you
reached — opened the calculator, saw a result, scored a load — along with
the site that referred you and a random session number. With that step it records a
band your cost per mile falls into, such as 1.60–2.00,
never the exact figure and never anything that identifies your truck or you.
If you enter your email address in the form at the bottom of the calculator, then along with your address the form also sends the figures the calculator just worked out for you — your cost per mile, your break-even per loaded mile, your annual fixed cost, and the last load you scored. That is deliberate and it is written next to the button: it is how I know whether to write that week's email for a reefer running 10,000 miles a month or a flatbed running 6,000.
If you would rather I did not have those numbers, do not submit the form. The calculator works fully without it and always will.
This site sets no cookies. There is no advertising pixel, no
analytics product, no tracker from anyone else. The one thing stored on your device is
a random session number kept in sessionStorage, which your browser discards
when you close the tab and which is not linked to you.
If that ever changes — if I add advertising or a third-party pixel — this page changes first and a consent notice appears before anything is set.
Payment is handled entirely by Gumroad. Your card details go to them and never touch this site. I receive your email address and what you bought, so I can send you the file and honour the refund.
Every email has an unsubscribe link and it works immediately. To have your address and your figures deleted outright, email netpermile@gmail.com and say so — no reason needed, no retention argument. I reply within one business day.
This is a tool for commercial truck operators. It is not intended for anyone under 18 and no part of it is directed at children.
